How We Help
How We Help
In 1985, a group of local individuals opened the first resource center in our community to support women unprepared for pregnancy. Read more about our history.

Although each woman who comes to us has her own unique story, there is a resounding common feeling - fear. Fear they cannot parent well, fear of what their parents will say, fear their plans and goals are gone forever, fear they cannot do this alone, fear they cannot handle this crisis. And while one of our primary goals is to walk this part of the journey with her – to speak truth in love to her and support her – our ultimate goal is to bring her the message of hope, healing and wholeness found in Jesus Christ. Life for her precious pre-born child and life for her.

Today, our client outreach approach includes three primary facets:

  • The Keim Centers

  • During my ultrasound, I thought of my child and how he or she deserves a chance.
Through medical clinics and satellite resource centers located across South Hampton Roads, clients receive a wide variety of pregnancy-related services in a comfortable and confidential environment – all provided at no cost to the client. These services include:

  • Limited ultrasound
  • Medical consultation
  • FDA-approved pregnancy testing
  • Crisis counseling
  • Prenatal vitamins
  • Parenting education
  • Bible distribution
  • Sharing the Gospel
  • And much more
  • Educational Programs

  • I really enjoyed my visit and I was happy to know they have a lot of classes available.
Education empowers, and CPC seeks to offer valuable options for each phase of life.

    - We partner with Reality Check to promote healthy relationships through a lifestyle of sexual integrity. This unique sexual and relational health education program is designed to prevent teenage pregnancy.

    - Great Expectations is a series of weekly pregnancy and parenting classes that helps prepare women and men for parenthood. In addition to providing clients with “baby bucks” they can redeem for necessary tangible resources (including diapers, baby wash, maternity clothes, strollers, etc.), a weekly devotional study brings them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In 2012, 29 clients made a commitment to Christ during GE.
